PUBLIC PURPOSE OF THE DISTRICT: The purpose of this board, as explained in its charter, is to oversee the spending of certain tax revenues which are collected annually from the residents of our subdivision. The board authorizes such expenditures as the building and maintenance of the barrier wall along Ehrlich and Bellamy roads, and the maintenance and improvement of certain common areas such as the Farmington and Fulmar entrances and the areas immediately outside of the barrier wall.
STATUTE(S) UNDER WHICH DISTRICT OPERATES: Chapter 189, Florida Statutes - Uniform Special District Accountability Act It is subject to Chapter 286 and Chapter 119 when it pertains to meetings and public records.
STATUTORY AUTHORITY FOR THE LEVY OF THE TAX, FEE, ASSESSMENT, OR CHARGE: The Statutory Authority is established by the ordinance that created the district. Ordinance # 92-37
RATES OR AMOUNTS FOR THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR: $30.00 per parcel of improved residential property for Fiscal Year 2017
ALL TAXES, FEES, ASSESSMENTS, OR CHARGES IMPOSED OR COLLECTED: A fixed dollar amount determined on an annual basis at a public district meeting. When approved by the county, it is added to the county's annual non-advalorem assessment on resident's annual tax bill.
